Open Source Software is free in its essence. Free to download, view and use. Firefox, wordpress are examples of open source software. Linux programs is one of example of open source software were thousands of people collaborated and work to it.  One good thing about open source software is that it takes us to a level of completion and we can also rely on others. However  Open Source software is best of when time to time it be check against it counterparts the licence one.

Three things I learned

I learned that firefox is an Open source software. I learned that may of the software that I am using are open source software.
I understand that open source can really be of great help for librarians like me, if I needed tools or softwares for my libraries.
I don’t need to be burdensome because licence software is too much expensive, because there are lots of software that is almost the same with feature and I can use it for free.

Librarian should be aware of the softwares that are free. In my case, I need to download open source software because the school cannot afford to purchase software with licence. And this will be very helpful in our library.
